My style can be summed up in three words as intimate, fresh, and unscripted. I am a member of the Seattle Professional Photographers Association and the Wedding Photojournalist's Association.

Engagement Photos at Greenlake Park in the Fall

I met Ginny and Adam at Greenlake Park yesterday for their engagement session. We planned the session for Tuesday because it was the one day this week that the forecasted showers dipped below 60%. And we lucked out with some beautiful sunlight here and there. Just as we were about to wrap up, some amazing storm clouds moved in. I grabbed a great shot of them with the clouds looming behind ready to dump heavy rain! I look forward to Ginny and Adam’s wedding this summer aboard the Argosy Cruise.

Seattle Boudoir Marathon at Hotel Vintage Park

I had five wonderful ladies join me and my assistant for a boudoir marathon at the Hotel Vintage Park in October. The two ladies below graciously allowed me to post some of their pictures. I was also lucky enough to have Junebug Weddings post an article featuring some of my boudoir photographs here. Check it out and leave a comment if you wish!

Engagement Photos at Lake Union

Marian and Rick live near Lake Union so we were excited to do their engagement photos right in their neighborhood. We called the session off twice on Sunday before deciding to actually go ahead with the session. Every time blue sky peaked out, the gray clouds pushed them back and sent rain and wind. Nevertheless, we braved what the weather had in store and it turned out fabulous! I am very excited for their wedding this August at Willow’s lodge in Woodinville.

If a wedding isn’t captured in photographs, did it really happen?

It’s not surprising that couples rank wedding photo’s as one of the highest priorities for their wedding day.   Flowers wilt.  The reception dinner gets cleared.   Tuxedo’s get returned to the chagrin of the Bride who finally got her man to dress up!   And for many, their wedding gown is never seen again except by the occasional moth in the closet.

I’m honored that you’re considering me to capture your wedding day.  It’s a responsibility I do not take lightly.  As such – I’ve taken my years of experience as a wedding photographer to compile this helpful guide to help you budget for the cost of wedding photography.

Questions I hope to answer are:

  • How much should you spend on wedding photography?
  • How can you navigate through all the photography choices?
  • How do those choices fit into what In A Frame Photography offer?
  • What if your budget falls short?

Engagement Photos at Pikes Place Market and Arboretum

Molly and Rick are getting married in September of 2009 and so we thought catching some of the colorful autumn leaves would be ideal. We met up at my favorite spot of the Arboretum at the University of Washington. The sunlight was golden and so yummy! These two were naturals and so sweet. We then hit  Pikes Place Market and Post Ally for some urban-style Seattle shots. Looking forward to your wedding!

Great engagement portrait locations in Seattle

For some reason I thought Fall 2008 would be relatively slow. After all, the wedding season here in Seattle comes to a close in September. Apparently the stars weren’t aligned though – as I’ve been really busy finishing albums, meeting new couples who are tying the knot in 2009, and shooting some really fantastic engagement sessions.

As a result, my promises of answering common questions via my blog have taken somewhat of a back seat. So invoking work hours not seen since my college midterm days – I’m taking a deep breath, investing in caffeinated beverages, and we’ll see how many questions I can answer before collapsing.

Kensington Gardens

Tammy and Andy were married at Kensington Gardens in Gig Harbor. The day started out a little dreary with a forecast of rain so plans were made to hold the reception inside. However, it quickly became a beautiful day so the ceremony was moved outside at the last moment. It was gorgeous! Tammy and Andy are world travelers so instead of table numbers, they decided to make each table a destination they had visited. After the reception we stopped at the Tacoma Waterfront for some pictures of just the two of them. Congrats guys! Oh and did I mention Tammy’s killer shoes?
