Jim and Elana

I got the opportunity to wrap up the weekend with an engagement session of Jim (the boy), Elana (the girl), and Shamus (the dog). It was a lot of fun. We shot at park on Washington Lake BLVD right next to their house. Awesome location! The sun cast a beautiful light.

Aimee and Jason

Sunday morning started with an engagement session for Aimee and Jason. Both these guys and Becky and Mike will get married at the Farm Kitchen this Summer. I am so excited to capture their wedding! These two were such a fun and goofy couple and chose an excellent location for pictures at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. The pictures are just fabulous…

Triple Header

It was a busy weekend — what with three engagements and all. Saturday I spent some time with Becky and Mike at Snoqualmie Falls for some engagement shots. It happens to be the exact location that Mike proposed to Becky! It was fairly busy for a Saturday afternoon, but we got some great shots. Take a look…

Playing with textures…

I just discovered — rather noticed — some cool textures on my office floor. Yes, these are snapshots of my office floor. I work in an “active space” tailored towards artists. I used Photoshop to do a quick overlay of a texture onto a recent image of Delisa. Textured photographs are rising in popularity and look fantastic as a large art canvas. I am inspired by the work of Jesh De Rox who just does a fabulous job with textures and has a completely unique style. He is generously making his textures available to other pros any day now and I can’t wait!

Scott and Amanda’s Wedding

Scott and Amanda’s wedding was simply beautiful! I started out with Scott and Amanda at the Hotel to capture some precious moments getting ready. Their ceremony and reception took place at the Sanctuary golf course in Scottsdale. Wow! The scenery, weather, and warm lighting in Phoenix has tempted me to pick up and move just so I can capture more weddings like this one. We enjoyed cruising around with the wedding party on golf carts. Thank you Scott and Amanda for a such a fun wedding!

Trip to Phoenix

I just returned from a fantastic trip to Phoenix, AZ. I took the trip to capture Scott and Amanda’s wedding (to be posted later). I stayed with my Aunt, Uncle, and Cousins. I got to watch my cousin Jake’s performance in his Junior High School production of the Music Man. It was impressive! The following day my Aunt Elaine and I went to the Legacy art gallery in Scottsdale that I wanted to check out on our way to the wedding. Elaine was a huge help at the wedding and thanks to my new GPS unit, I was able to get everywhere without a problem!

I was warmly welcomed to the “Jones Hotel.”

During my stay I visited one of my closest friends from high school. We took a fine trip to the zoo. She and her husband moved to Arizona for a teaching job. She has the most adorable little children. And those curls in Addie’s hair are natural!

Early Saturday morning, my cousins wanted to play on the quad before taking off for a joy ride in the desert.

Katy’s Intimate Portraits

Today I shot some boudoir portraits of one of my favorite summer brides. She was kind and allowed me to post an image. Does she look amazing or what? You should see the rest of her shots?.it?s too bad we can’t keep Matt off the blog! He’s going to love his wedding gift…

Delisa and Tim’s Wedding

Delisa and Tim tied the knot yesterday at the Tibbetts Creek Manor in Issaquah. It was such a sweet and emotional wedding! Tim leaves for the Marine Corps this summer, and for now it is a lovely honeymoon in Leavenworth, WA. Enjoy!

Smith Tower Wedding

Yesterday I got the opportunity to capture Marjorie and Tony’s wedding at the Smith Tower. We even got to walk around and take some shots in the city beforehand. It was blast. I worked with another terrific photographer named Larry Kim which was a whole lot of fun. Take a look:

This little guy was buried in his Harry Potter book. For Harry Potter fans, he was just about to read about the Death Eaters…
