Teena
Today’s senior was Teena. It was sooo much nicer to shoot in the sunny part of the evening — as opposed to the rain last weekend.

Carlee Cefaratt
A rainy Seattle afternoon, distinct fixtures at Gas Works Park, and a wonderful High School Senior named Carlee — three elements that created this unique photo shoot.
If you happen to have the album cover from Evanescence hanging around, you might just discover where I got my inspiration.
Denise and Darrick
Denise, Darrick, Britney, and Noah became a family last Saturday. The wedding was held at the Point Defiance Park Lodge in Tacoma. The ceremony was very special because not only did Denise and Darrick exchange vows, but Britney and Darrick did as well. Congratulations you guys!

Darrick’s Dad wore the tie that he gave him as a teen which says “I love Daddy”

Britney had this beaming smile throughout the entire ceremony. I love how she just adores her new Dad.

Wedding Photojournalist Association
-I was recently accepted into the Wedding Photojournalist Assocation! The WPJA is a collection of photographers that meet the standards of excellence in candid and observatory wedding photojournalism.
Many of my brides have commented that their favorite images are spontaneus moments. A recent bride-to-be that hired me said, “By the way, I just looked at that most recent slide show and I really enjoy the immediacy of your photos. It doesn’t feel contrived, staged and over-dramatized like so many wedding photos, but rather like I’m actually there, which is what we really like!”
I am so thrilled to be able to continue to offer documentary-style photography to my clients and be a part of a joint-collective working to do the same.

Lucky 7.7.07
So the most acclaimed wedding date of 2007 has passed! Our lucky couple was DeNeal and Todd who got married in Kalispell Montana. They chose this date for their wedding as it is Todd’s grandparent’s 65th anniversary!

DeNeal and Todd splurged for two photographers. Having two perspectives at the wedding really enhanced the story of their day. Below are some captures by Laira Fonner, a local photographer in Montana. Laira captured the guys getting ready while I focused on the girls.

Montana Big Sky Wedding
If you’re a regular to my blog, you might notice many of my weddings are destination weddings. This past weekend was no different as I headed out to “Big Sky Country” to capture Michelle & Tony’s wedding. Set against the banks of the Clark Fork River, it was everything you would imagine from Montana in the summertime. A beautiful forested backdrop, a rushing river, a black bear harrassing the trout, and of course – no cell phone coverage. :) I wish them best as they start their new life together in Wisconsin.

You may notice yours truly in the background trying to get the shot…
