Cara and Tim’s Engagement Session
Cara and Tim will be married in April of next year at the Canal. I am really looking forward to the event and in preparation we did our engagement session today at the Sculpture Park and then a quick post card shot at Pike’s Place Market. Lucy didn’t want to be left out of the shoot and did an excellent job adding personality and charm to each image. Congratulations!

Marla and Erek’s Wedding
Nothing says Thanksgiving like… a casino wedding at Normandy Park Cove. Marla and Erek now top my list for one of the more creative weddings I’ve had the pleasure of shooting. Lately in Seattle we’ve had nothing but rain, but luckily the day was gray ( no rain – wahoo! ). It was a great party, a wonderful wedding celebration — made unique and special by the combination of their Hawaiian and Middle East heritage & traditions.

Look at Erek’s face as he watches Marla do a hula dance for him.
And here she is…
Erek’s son, Isaiah, gave a humorous and touching toast to his father and new mother.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
I can not begin to tell you how much I love looooove the Holiday Season. After enjoying a warm Thanksgiving Dinner I am excited to celebrate my favorite time of the year. I love the hustle, the bustle, the bitter cold, the lights, the music, the food, the trees, heck, I even love the comercialism of Christmas. It’s time to crank up Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole on the old record player and trim up the pine tree! To start off the Season, my husband and I joined thousands of others to watch the westlake center tree and the 50-year old macy’s star light up.

If you are looking for something festive to do this season, my favorite event is the Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition at Westlake Center in downtown. Every year 40+ caroling teams compete to bennefit the Pikes Marketplace Senior Center. I have seen everything from tap dancers to singing hot peppers!
Ksenia and Scot
Before you read this, take off your hats to Ksenia and Scot who planned their wedding in under 4 weeks! They booked me for their wedding 10 days ago and I am so glad they did as it was a timeless, beautiful event at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Ksenia is from Belarus and Scot from Bellevue — say it out loud and perhaps you will notice the similarity.

And yes, those are real diamonds!

I’ll tell you that this image makes me crack a smile… when was the last time you saw two men (including the groom) attaching the veil? Scot helped Kensia get ready for a unique, yet intimate moment.

Beth and Kevin’s Wedding
Beth and Kevin were married November 10th. The day started at the Silver Cloud Hotel where both the guys and gals got ready. It was a pajama party when I arrived to capture the scene early in the morning. The wedding ceremony took place across the street at the St. Ignatius Chapel and the reception followed on the Skansonia ferry, which is docked in Lake Union. The skansonia has a view of the city and space needle and had a romantic enchanting feel to it.

I like this image because of how the groomsman in the background mirrors the action of the best man in the foreground.

I wouldn’t mess with this bridesmaid! Beth had to clutch the door frame as she was strapped into her dress.
And the hard work seem to pay off, Beth looked beautiful.

This image is so peaceful as Beth and Kevin hold hands while listening to the ceremony procedings.

Flush Mount Album
Updated August 4th 2008
I have spent a long time searching for the perfect album, and I am happy to say I have finally found it. Below are some images of a premium and basic flush mount album. These albums will be used in all of our 2008 through 2009 wedding offerings and include a huge variety of choices.
The album pictured below is a 12×12 Premium Flush Mount Album with an inset photo on the cover. It combines both black leather and a ostrich leather accent on the spine. The gutter (or split between the pages) is entirely seamless and the smallest I have ever seen on any flush mount album. The pages lay completely flat when open allowing the image to spread across the entire page. Premium albums include a large assortment of fabulous leathers and upgrade options like canvas, metallic acrylic, and pexiglass covers.

The Basic Flush Mount Album combines unique materials, hot contemporary colors, beautiful styling and a budget friendly price. The album below is an 8×10 with an orange fabric cover and an inset photo. Each page has about a quarter of an inch trim around the image which does not allow a full panoramic image to spread across the page like the Premium Album above. However, the basic has it’s own sense of sophistication and style and is the preference of many couples.

There is nothing quite like seeing your wedding images in a beautiful modern album like these flush mount books. Schedule a visit and you can see these stunning creations in person!
