Nancy and Georgie
This past weekend I joined Nancy and Georgie at the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle to celebrate their engagement. These two were the ecstatic winners of my engagement/iPod give-away at the Seattle Fall Bridal Show. They were a lot of fun and I was so glad to have the opportunity to shoot their session. I was blown away to learn that Nancy actually proposed to Georgie!
Ksenia and Scot
Kensia and Scot invited me back to the Fairmont Olympic Hotel to capture some more portraits for their album. We hit Pikes Place Market first because we were privileged to have some sunshine and then took some more shots at the hotel. These guys are both such great sports and had a lot of fun.
Fun in Tampa
I returned this week from the DWF Convention in Tampa Bay, FL. I had a blast! I learned so much… from business, to lighting techniques, and even how to see the world differently. I am very motivated and I look forward to a new year!
One of the great (almost hysterical) seminars was entitled the “wedding from hell.” We had the privilege of watching some very talented photographers capture a staged wedding in which EVERYTHING went wrong! The bride was one and half feet taller than the groom, a bridesmaid lit up a cigarette during the ceremony, the bride and groom lost their rings, the groom took a shot during ceremony, and general hysteria. It was quite a dramatic production and made me feel so lucky to have worked with such wonderful couples and families. The photo below was taken by Greg Gibson.
Out of the Office
I will be out of the office until January 9th 2008 attending the DWF wedding photography convention in Florida. Should you need to reach me, I will still answer email and voice mail frequently.
