Cara and Tim’s Wedding at the Canal

Cara and Tim were married at the Canal in Ballard. So far the weather at my 2008 weddings has been pretty spectacular! So much for it always raining in Seattle! (knock on wood). The Canal has a spectacular view of the Ballard Locks, which just so happens to be one of my favorite places.

I was happy to meet Suzanne from Poised Events, who did a wonderful job coordinating the wedding. The entire wedding party walked over to the locks for photos before the ceremony. A diner buffet by Jewel Catering followed along with a slideshow featuring Cara and Tim. Niki came along and helped shoot with me. Cara and Tim, I hope you are having a wonderful time on your honeymoon and congratulations!

Stephanie and Ryan Engagement at Golden Garden’s Beach

I met Steph and Ryan at Golden Garden’s Beach and (oh boy!) so did the entire population of Seattle! I haven’t seen such good weather since last summer and Golden Gardens was definately the place to be. I worked my magic to get some shots without 500 people behind the couple — and then we headed out near my office where no one in their right mind would be on such a beautiful Saturday. Congratulations! I look forward to your wedding in July!

Annie and Ryan

Annie and Ryan were married at Court in the Square in Pioneer Square. First of all, I must tell you how I met Ryan and Annie. About a couple years ago I was on Alki Beach shooting some night shots of the Seattle Skyline. A totally random jogger came over and asked if I could take a picture of him. He introduced himself as Ryan. I took a couple of shots and got his contact info to send him the picture. Well, a few months later he emailed me and told me he was now dating this girl wonderful named Annie and could I shoot some pictures of them? Of course, I said.

Well now its a couple of years later and Ryan and Annie are now married. They are a terrific couple with a lot of personality. Immediately after the wedding Annie enthusiastically introduced herself to others as “Mrs. Flemming.” We spent some time before the wedding walking along the streets of Pioneer Square with the entire wedding party. Ryan pulled some strings and got access to a fire engine to take some pictures. I really enjoyed the orange and pink colors and tulips. Ryan is in the lighting biz and set up some amazing lights to accent their colors. It was a beautiful event.
