Engagement Session at Greenlake

Today I walked with Vilija, Trevor, Oden (little bulldog puppy), and Ryan (bulldog wrangler) upwards of 2 miles snapping pictures at Greenlake and the surrounding areas of my gallery. Here’s a quick sneak peak from their engagement session.

I also want to give y’all a heads up that a new fresh look is coming to our website soon, so remember to check back April 1st — that’s right, on April fools day!

Engagement Session in Greenwood

Fun with kids!

Today I had the opportunity to capture some kids goofing off at a shared studio in Tacoma with a bunch of other female photographers. We have all been snowed out of recent photo shoots, and unable to wait for sunny weather, we got together to release our creative juices on some very small victims.  We split into teams and worked with various lighting situations and captured some super adorable children. The pictures turned out great!  I don’t often get a chance to do children’s portraits, except little flower girls and ring bearers, so this turned out to be a really fun morning. Willow and Tami are so great with kids and I learned a lot by watching them. I now know that Simon Says can turn a squeally kid into an active happy kid! =)

Boudoir Marathon Announced

I am excited to announce our much anticipated Spring Boudoir Marathon taking place on May 23rd and May 24th, 2009.  As always, the session will be located at a private hotel suite in Seattle disclosed to those that sign up. However, I am excited to announce a few new changes! All sessions now include professional hair and makeup by Stace, an artist who has studied makeup specifically for film, tv, and photography. Additionally, all session include a gift item — either a folio, album, or coffee table book. Take a look at our informational Boudoir Brouchure.

Since announcing the session this morning via our email newsletter, we’ve already had four women sign up! There are six remaining openings so please contact us quickly. A $100 deposit is required to hold a session time.

Glossy Coffee Table Book

I just received a new addition to my sample album collection. This small 8×8 press printed album is similar to past offerings, however it now features high gloss hinged pages allowing them to lay open entirely flat. These books are perfect for boudoir images (as pictured), engagement or portrait sessions, and even duplicate parent albums. Our next boudoir marathon will be announced tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Engagement Session at University Village

Heather and James are visiting Seattle from Arizona to tour their wedding desitination, Roche Harbor on San Juan Island. We meandered around U Village for their engagement session this morning just after 9am. Heather and James, traveling from 90 degree weather, were quickly shivering and cuddling in the early morning chill. We were happy to have sunny skies though! There were so many great walls, textures, and props at uvillage that I have added it to my favorite Seattle engagement locations list.

Senior Frame Photography

I have been in something of a daze since returning from the Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s Convention in Las Vegas over a week ago. They kept us busy in class or working with other professionals from 8am – 11pm every night! However, I have recovered enough to be able to launch my new specialized high school senior portrait studio! I am currently looking for 2010 graduating seniors that wish to represent our studio and receive a complimentary session and gifts and prizes. For more information, visit our modeling program for information.
